Brazilian GP: Preview

With the Constructor’s and Driver’s Championships wrapped, the grid moves on to Brazil for some midfield deciding action. Valtteri Bottas is still within strike distance of Sebastian Vettel for 2nd in the Driver’s Championship. Max Verstappen still has a shot to catch Kimi Raikkonen for 5th and Raikkonen still has a chance to catch Daniel Ricciardo for 4th. Toro Rosso still has a chance to catch Williams for 5th in the Constructors’. Likewise, Renault trails Toro Rosso by 5 and Haas trails Renault by 1 for 7th. The weekend’s forecast shows rain at times, but what’s new at Interlagos. Look for Red Bull to be in the hunt with Verstappen coming off a very convincing victory in Mexico and Ricciardo wanting to avenge two straight DNFs. Lewis Hamilton claims he won’t back down in Brazil, but I don’t expect him to put up a huge fight if he’s contested. Also be on the lookout for a couple McLarens to be near the front, as Brazil is basically one long winding corner and friendly to McLaren’s chassis and lack of power. Should be exciting despite the champs having already been decided, especially if it rains.
